My name is Amy, American living in Amsterdam. I started a business recently that allows me to work from home. This gives me the flexibility to offer pet sitting on the side. 

I had a dog myself who passed away, after being my best friend for 13 years. Through him, I learned unconditional love, empathy, and caring for others. It was tough at the end, as the last couple years he had numerous sickness, but he was so resilient and he also taught me resilience. It was through that I learned how to take care of senior animals with special needs. 

With what I learned from my best friend, I hope to pay the love forward to other dogs. I have done plenty of dog sitting, walking and boarding. I have experience with rescue dogs, senior pets with special needs etc. I understand as a dog owner, you want to ensure your fur babies are in good hands while you are away, so I am happy to meet and answer any questions you have. Your pet's safety and comfort is my top priority.

For dog sitting/dog boarding, my home has a fenced off garden in Amsterdam noord. Noord has plenty of walking areas that are perfect for your fur babies to have a nice holiday get away :) Currently I don't have any pet of my own. Also no children present in the house, if that's a concern to you. My partner, who also loves dogs, works from home most of the time as well. I will be the main sitter, but it's nice to have a second person for the dogs when one of us needs to pop out for groceries. We don't leave dogs alone in the house.

I would ask your dog to be protected against fleas and ticks due to the nice wild areas we have in noord, but you might already be doing that! Please also specify if your dog gets along with other dogs or have any other needs.

Please bring anything that will help your dog get used to a new environment, as I understand they must be a bit nervous to be in a new place regardless. Let me know please if there is anything we can do to help them get used to it. I will send daily updates, unless you tell me not to :)

For cat sitting, I will only be able to offer in home visits during the day. I have numerous expirence for cat sitting as well, including special need cats. But unfortunately I can't stay over night at your place with the cat, nor could I have the cat at mine.
